The Very Good Candle Company reed diffusers are handmade from a plant-based and no-toxic diffuser base, essential oils and botanical fragrances in a small studio in Amsterdam. The diffuser comes in beautiful recycled amber glass bottles.
How to use
Remove the lid and insert the rattan reeds into the bottle. Allow the reeds to absorb the fragrance oil blend for at least 24 hours. Flip the reeds weekly or as needed to refresh the scent. To create a subtle scent, insert fewer reeds.
Keep the diffuser away from direct sunlight or other heat sources to avoid drying out the reeds.
Please note!
- The reeds are flammable, do not light them or store them near heat.
- The liquid is harmful when swallowed, do not consume and keep away from children and pets.
- Avoid skin and eye contact. May cause an allergic reaction. If skin irritation occurs, wash with soap and water.
- If the oil spills, clean up immediately, as the oils and resins can cause damage some finishes.
Scents
The owners of The Very Good Candle Company are inspired by the music festivals they’ve visited all around the world. The reed diffusers are available in different scents: Pilton, Indio, Naeba, Asagiri and Stormur. These are the same scents as The Very Good Candle Co. candles, but they smell slightly different due to the difference in consistency of liquid versus wax.
Pilton
Inspired by the Glastonbury Festival, held in Pilton, England. Soft and woody sandalwood, musky amber, earthy cedar, a hint of cinnamon, some hidden spices and a touch of raspberry. Bold and complex, yet calming. Pilton will take you on a walk through the green fields of Somerset.

Packaging
There is a plastic liner inside the recyclable aluminium lid which makes the bottle leak proof and air tight. It also helps to preserve the product longer and protect the lid from the essential oils within the diffuser. Essential oils can cause aluminium to oxidise (meaning it develops a black coating) which can spoil the product. At present there is no suitable alternative. We recommend reusing the bottles as much as you can and if you do throw them away, recycle the plastic liner separately.
